How to maintain fume hood in Laboratory?

The basic furnitures in laboratory are lab bench, fume hood and lab storage cabinet etc. For fume hood, it’s used for eliminating harmful gas and maintaining interior environment. To ensure the normal use of fume hood and extend its lifetime, we need to know the operation method and daily maintenance of fume hood.
1. The lab device to generate harmful substance should be placed within above 150mm from operation point to avoid overflow of hazards.
2. The lab device in fume hood shouldn’t keep out gap of air exhaust.
3. When tests are over, the fan should be closed after 3 to 5 minutes.
4. The interior of fume hood should be kept clean and sealed and it should be cleaned periodically.
5. The length of steel cable can be adjusted if the height of glass door is necessary to be adjusted.
6. To make glass door flexible when sliding, lubricant oil should be sprayed on mobile wheels periodically.
It’s also a ideal method to increase the safety of operator by doing above maintenance for fume hood.
