At present, speed is the main index of the performance and safety of the fume hood in the fume hood market, but this method is outdated. On the one hand, it wastes too much energy of HVAC. On the other hand, when the fume hood moving door is open, the negative pressure caused by the operator’s operation or movement at the moving door will affect the inside of the fume hood. The gas causes interference, which makes the fume hood in a very unsafe state. Our company’s patented laminar flow air curtain technology breaks the traditional idea that the fume hood relies on the surface wind speed to suppress leakage, focusing on creating an ideal laminar flow push-pull airflow movement structure: the external air (outdoor air) is sent into the fume hood in the form of laminar flow through the three supplementary air outlets of the fume hood, and there is a negative pressure pulling force at the back of the fume hood. With this method, a stable air distribution can be formed inside the fume hood, which can ensure the rapid and effective discharge of harmful gases, thus effectively ensuring the safety of the experimenters.
Because of the laminar air curtain technology of our laminar air curtain fume hood, compared with traditional fume hood, the total exhaust volume of our fume hood is reduced by 40%. Among them, fresh air supplied from outdoor is 70% of the total exhaust air, and the remaining 30% is indoor air. Compared with the traditional fume hood, the amount of air discharged from the room is 18%(60%*30%=18%) of the traditional fume hood, which saves 82% of the energy consumption of indoor air conditioning.
The top and bottom air supply ports of laminar air curtain fume hood form an effective air curtain partition at the window opening, which protects the user’s breathing belt, and partitions the influence of external disturbance on the airflow organization in the cabinet. The traditional fume hood operator’s operation or dynamic movement at the moving door will interfere with the air distribution in the cabinet, and laminar air curtain technology can minimize these interferences.
